It appears that there are businesses who will find out who your 'friends' are through facebook, twitter, ActiveRain and other online sites. Then they call those who you know and claim that you referred them to those contacts. They may also make claims that you endorse their product or service without your permission.

The stats are out. This year 41,000 real estate licensed agents dropped out of the business in Florida since the boom days when everyone and their mother, aunt, sister, brother neighbor was an agent. Just in the state of Florida.
